“The Opening Is Blue (The Opening Series)”

Part of the Opening Series, this work is built through a gradient that forms an opening toward its centre. Paint is applied from the top down and from the bottom up, meeting in a controlled convergence. The surface was nearly flawless in this new method, interrupted only by a few craters that were carefully smoothed into stillness. The lustre is deep and unwavering.

The blue holds remarkable depth. It does not flatten the space, it expands it. Within its intensity lies both descent and ascent, as if the eye is drawn inward before rising again.

“The Opening Is Blue” reflects the belief that transformation begins at the lowest point. The depth becomes the threshold. From the bottom emerges the opening for growth, learning, and the scale of our highest expansion.
